Rebecca joined the Association in January 2019 as the Editorial Assistant. She is originally from Bel Air, Maryland and is a former middle and high school Social Studies teacher. She received her BA in History and Secondary Education from the University of Maryland, College Park and MA in History of Decorative Arts focusing on 20th century women’s costumes, jewelry, and textiles from the Smithsonian-George Mason University. During her time in graduate school she had various internships and graduate research assistantships that included Hillwood Estate, Museum & Garden, the Diplomatic Reception Rooms, the National Museum of the United States Navy, Smithsonian Associates, and the National Museum of American History Library. Before joining the Association, Rebecca worked as a Museum Teacher at the National Building Museum.
