This Month: New Lecture Series Features President Truman’s Grandson
Clifton Daniel Shares Personal Stories from the Truman White HouseWashington, D.C. —
The White House Historical Association will host an evening lecture on President Harry S. Truman and the major White House changes he oversaw during his time in office, including construction of the 2nd floor balcony and renovation of the Blue Room. President Truman’s grandson, Clifton Daniel, will share his family’s experiences at the White House and how his grandfather embarked on and completed one of the most ambitious restorations of the Executive Mansion in history.

The ornament honors three significant aspects of his legacy at the White House: the addition of the Truman Balcony to the South Portico of the White House, the renovation of the Blue Room, and the redesign of the Presidential Seal.
This lecture is free and will be followed by a light reception.
Please RSVP here by Wednesday, February 21st.
