One of the Association’s favorite authors, Rocco Smirne, is back! Join six-year-old Rocco as he experiences travel with the presidents, past and present, in his new children’s book, Rocco Travels with the Presidents!

Every president of the United States has to travel to attend important events and to meet people around the world. For more than two hundred years, the presidents have taken journeys on horses, trains, ships, cars, airplanes, and helicopters. Sometimes, just for fun, they have also used bicycles, golf carts, and even parachutes. Rocco is just six years old, but he already knows a great deal about the White House, the presidents and the places he would like to go too, so he created this book to share some of the adventures he would have if he could travel with the presidents!

Rocco's first book A White House Alphabet was co-authored with his mother Arioth Smirne in 2020.

About the White House Historical Association

First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy envisioned a restored White House that conveyed a sense of history through its decorative and fine arts. She sought to inspire Americans, especially children, to explore and engage with American history and its presidents. In 1961, the nonprofit, nonpartisan White House Historical Association was established to support her vision to preserve and share the Executive Mansion’s legacy for generations to come. Supported entirely by private resources, the Association’s mission is to assist in the preservation of the state and public rooms, fund acquisitions for the White House permanent collection, and educate the public on the history of the White House. Since its founding, the Association has given more than $115 million to the White House in fulfillment of its mission.
