Gilt Silver Objects
During the Eisenhower administration, over 1,000 gilt silver (known as vermeil) objects were donated to the White House. Some of the pieces were put on display in cabinets in what is now called the Vermeil Room. Plates, pitchers, chalices, and tureens from the collection are pictured here. Creator: Paul Storr, London, for Rundell, Bridge & Rundell, 1809-1810.
