Program for Christmas Party Dinner

This is an event program for a Christmas dinner party hosted by President Jimmy Carter and First Lady Rosalynn Carter for Cabinet members and senior White House staff on December 15, 1980. Entertainment at the dinner included dramatic readings of excerpts from Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol," and the singing of Christmas carols. This program also includes the dinner menu. This program is part of a personal collection belonging to former White House Executive Chef Henry Haller. As executive chef from 1966-1987, Haller oversaw the menus for many celebrations at the White House.
