Dr. Biden Reads to Children at the 2023 Egg Roll

In this photograph by Matthew D'Agostino, First Lady Dr. Jill Biden reads the classic children's book, "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?" by Bill Martin, Jr. and Eric Carle in the reading nook at the White House Easter Egg Roll. The reading nook, temporarily located in the Jacqueline Kennedy Garden, was a part of the Easter Egg Roll that took place on April 10, 2023. The theme for the 2023 Easter Egg Roll, which was hosted by Dr. Biden and President Joseph R. Biden, was a return of "EGGucation," which Dr. Biden also selected in 2022. Activities at the annual celebration included the traditional Easter egg roll and egg hunt, special guest readers in the reading nook, costumed characters, food, and arts and crafts, among other educational activities. Dr. Biden was joined by her grandson Beau Biden at the reading.
