Nixon, on February 5, 1960. It concerns the vice president's planned appearance at the opening ceremonies of the 1960 Winter Games in Squaw Valley, California on February 18, 1960. Nixon opened the Games as head of the Olympic delegation on behalf of President Dwight D. Eisenhower.
