Gingerbread House After Mrs. Clinton's Childhood Home

This is a photograph taken on December 9, 1995, of the official White House gingerbread house, a replica of First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton's childhood home in Park Ridge, Illinois. It was created by former Executive Pastry Chef Roland Mesnier in honor of the first lady. The exposed rooms in the gingerbread house featured scenes from the poem "A Visit From St. Nicholas," which inspired the "Twas the Night before Christmas" theme for that year.
