White House Gingerbread House

This is a photograph of the official White House Gingerbread House taken by White House photographer Sharon Farmer on December 5, 1993. Dubbed the "House of Socks," it was created by former Executive Pastry Chef Roland Mesnier in honor of the Clintons' cat, Socks. The gingerbread house is a replica White House complete with twenty marzipan versions of Socks playing around the house.
