Many newspaper clippings collected by Major Blair about his family home are now in the archives at Blair House. On the clipping above, a page from an 1880 issue of The Republic featuring an interview with Montgomery Blair, Gist Blair wrote, “This represents the house as it is April 1911—after my father made the additions to it.”
