Mike Curb is the former Acting Governor and Lieutenant Governor of California, a GRAMMY award-winning record producer, a Billboard record producer of the year and a BMI multi award-winning songwriter whose music covers a wide range of musical styles. His work includes over 400 songs. He owns his own independent record company. He has received recognition in both Los Angeles and Nashville for his accomplishments and contributions to the music industry. Mike has a commitment to making music and entertainment accessible through education and mentorships. The Curb Foundation owns and restored Elvis Presley’s former home in Memphis and other historic sites there and in Nashville. In 2015 Curb was honored with the 40th annual Historic Achievement Award from the Metropolitan Historical Commission for his numerous acts of preservation. Mike has earned honorary doctorate degrees from California State University, Pepperdine University, Rhodes College, Fisk University and Belmont University. He has established programs at institutions of higher learning at California State University, UCLA, Belmont University, Fisk University, Rhodes College, Vanderbilt University, Daytona State College, Arizona State University, Baylor University, Claremont-McKenna University and Bethune-Cookman University. In addition to supporting music and entertainment, his philanthropy has also supported Junior Achievement, the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum, humane societies, libraries, public health, leadership and mentoring programs, and more. With his wife Linda, Mike also supports programs for homeless and underserved communities.
