Clare Phillips Tayback is an arts advocate, community activist, and lawyer who lives in Southern California. Born and raised in small-town Wyoming, Clare is a graduate of the New York University School of Law and Stanford University, where she received a B.A. in Art History and studied abroad in Florence, Italy. Following law school graduation, she spent several years in large firm litigation practice before serving for almost a decade as an Assistant United States Attorney in Los Angeles. She has spent over 20 years in leadership positions in prestigious Southern California arts organizations and serves on Stanford’s Los Angeles Art Council. She has a passionate interest in architectural, interior, and garden design.
