Carrie Hoernig is originally from New England and has maintained an entrepreneurial spirit from a young age. She studied marketing and interior design before launching several businesses spanning across a variety of industries.
She started her early career as a successful real estate professional which inspired her to build a mortgage company with locations across Connecticut and Massachusetts. Eventually Carrie branched into the hospitality industry focused on the design and development of 6 restaurants across the region. With her passion for health and wellness, Carrie also built a franchise fitness studio from the ground up.
Outside of her business interests, Carrie is passionate about historic homes, architecture, design, and antiquities. While living in New England, she restored two 18th century homes, bringing them into the modern world while keeping their historic integrity. Recently Carrie put these passions to work with the design and development project which she now calls home in McLean, Virginia with her husband Otto Hoernig. Together Carrie and Otto share four children.
Carrie continues her charitable interests and has been actively involved with Autism Speaks, Children’s National Hospital, Make-a-Wish Foundation, Hillwood Museum, and the Northern Virginia Therapeutic Riding Program.
